Cricket betting at hazy — favourite markets for Bangladesh across BPL, IPL and international matches
T20 to Test, home ground to world stage — separate markets for every format, live odds and easy deposits.
Cricket's three formats and popular competitions
The three formats of cricket offer different betting experiences. T20 is the fastest — a match ends in just 20 overs, so odds shift quickly and markets move with every wicket or boundary. BPL is the biggest T20 event in Bangladesh, while the T20 World Cup is the top stage globally.
ODI, or one-day cricket, is a 50-over game that calls for both strategy and patience. Many bettors prefer runs over/under markets in ODIs because there is a lot of information available by the midpoint of an innings. ICC tournaments and bilateral series are the main seasons for ODI betting.
Test cricket is a five-day contest — a draw is a valid result here, creating three possible outcomes and adding a different dimension to the markets. Pitch conditions, weather and the batting depth of each side all factor in, making Test betting a more considered experience.
Beyond that, the IPL is an Indian franchise league but is extremely popular among viewers in Bangladesh, and whenever the Bangladesh Tigers play in an international series, it always draws special interest. Markets for all these competitions are available at hazy.
Football and other sports betting
Alongside cricket, hazy offers markets on football and several other sports. There are some notable differences in how betting works between cricket and football.
A cricket match typically has two outcomes (T20, ODI) or three (Test — home win, away win, draw), many over-by-over markets and separate player performance markets. Football has three outcomes (win, draw, loss) and goals over/under is the most familiar market.
Football has a half-time/full-time double result market where you pick the result at both half-time and full-time separately. The closest equivalent in cricket is an innings-by-innings market. Multi bets combining several matches are popular in both sports, but if any leg is wrong, the whole bet is lost.

Cricket vs Football Betting
- Cricket has per-over markets — football has goal-count markets
- A draw is possible in Test — in football a draw within normal time falls within 1X2
- Live betting and multi bet available in both
- Cricket has a toss market — football has a first goalscorer market
- Betting can start with a minimum deposit of ৳100 in both sports
Popular cricket markets
Many markets are open within a single match. Below are seven familiar markets, each with a simple example.
Match Winner
Picking the winning team is the most straightforward market. Team A or Team B — there is no third outcome in T20 or ODI.
T20 ODIToss Winner
Which team will win the toss — this market is settled before the match begins. It is well known as a 50-50 chance.
All FormatsTop Run-Scorer
Which batter from either team will score the most runs in an innings — this is the most popular of the player performance markets.
Player MarketTotal Runs — Over/Under
Will the total runs in the match be more (over) or less (under) than a set number — pick one of the two options.
Score MarketMulti Bet
Adding selections from several matches together raises the combined odds, but if any single selection is wrong, the entire bet is lost.
ComboTop Wicket-Taker
Which bowler will take the most wickets in the match — whether you pick a pace bowler or a spinner, the pitch type matters.
Bowler MarketInnings Runs — Powerplay
How many runs will a team score in the first 6 overs (Powerplay) — this market covers only one segment of the innings, so it is settled quickly.
Segment MarketHow to read and understand odds
Odds on a betting platform can appear in three formats — decimal, fractional and American. All three express the same probability; only the way they are written differs. The examples below make it clear.
| Format | Team A win odds | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Decimal | 2.25 | Total return of ৳2.25 for every ৳1 staked (including stake) |
| Fractional | 5/4 | ৳5 profit on a ৳4 stake |
| American | +125 | ৳125 profit on a ৳100 stake |
Worked example 1 (Team A wins): Suppose Team A's odds are 2.25 decimal, 5/4 fractional, +125 American. On a ৳1,000 stake, if Team A wins the total return is ৳2,250 (৳1,250 profit + ৳1,000 original stake); if Team A loses, ৳1,000 is gone.
Worked example 2 (favourite Team B): Team B is the favourite — decimal 1.25, fractional 1/4, American -400. In American odds, a minus number shows how much you need to stake to win ৳100. On a ৳1,000 stake, if Team B wins the return is ৳1,250 (৳250 profit).
Among the three formats, decimal odds are the most straightforward for bettors in Bangladesh, because the total return is calculated by a simple multiplication.
Read the terms and conditions page for full details on betting rules.
Multi bet calculation
If three matches have decimal odds of 1.70, 1.80 and 1.90 respectively, the combined odds are:
1.70 × 1.80 × 1.90 = 5.81
This means a ৳100 stake returns ৳581 if all selections win. If even one selection is wrong, the full ৳100 is lost.
Multi bets increase the potential return but also increase the risk. Betting is always for entertainment.
Odds shift when a wicket falls — in-play betting
Live betting lets you place bets in real time while a match is in progress. Odds update automatically after every wicket, boundary or over, so the flow of the game is reflected directly in the markets.
For example: if Team A has lost five wickets by the 15th over of a T20, Team B's odds of winning shorten noticeably. On the other hand, if a batter hits several sixes in a row, Team A's odds of winning can rise sharply.
In-play betting is particularly useful once you have watched the start of the match and formed your own view. However, because odds change fast, it is important to stay focused.
In ODIs, many bettors prefer to look at the run rate and wickets after the Powerplay before deciding on an over/under bet. In Test matches, each session (morning, afternoon, evening) can generate its own separate markets.
A few points before you start betting
Set a budget
Before each betting session, set aside a specific amount and do not go beyond that limit. Betting is a form of entertainment — it is not a source of income.
Start with simple markets
If you are new, it is better to start with straightforward markets like match winner or over/under. Move on to more complex markets gradually once you understand them.
Try more than one market
Placing bets on two separate markets in the same match — such as match winner and top batter — makes the experience more varied. Keep track of how much you stake on each bet.
Be patient in live betting
In-play odds change quickly — watch a few overs before deciding rather than placing a bet in a rush driven by emotion.
Play responsibly
Avoid the urge to place more bets to recover money you have lost. Read the responsible gaming guidelines — hazy takes this seriously.
